Adult Club
PBC plays on Mondays at Thomas A Stewart Secondary School and on Wednesdays at Crestwood Secondary School.
The adult club runs from September to June each year. We have players from 18 years old to 95 years of age, beginner to competitive levels - so you are bound to fit in somewhere. We mostly play pick up doubles and members are welcome to come out for ten minutes or the whole time on one or both nights, whichever fits your schedule. Given membership caps, there is limited room for guests. Please contact us in advance if you are wishing to try it out for an evening.
The adult club also hosts three fun team tournaments each year (Hallowe’en, Winter Holiday, and Valentine’s Day). PBC also runs a year-end internal Club Championships and a competitive Ontario-wide Open consisting of Women’s Doubles, Men’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles around mid-November every year.
Our community extends past our courts. We enjoy social events outside of the play days - from axe throwing, bowling, board game nights, to potlucks and more!
Junior Club
The junior club plays from September to May on Fridays at Thomas A Stewart Secondary School.
The junior club plays each Friday evening on nine courts. The coaches take time to teach fundamental badminton shots, footwork, strategy, fitness, sportsmanship, and team skills. The programs have been developed through consultation of former and current players! They are designed to fit within our time and gym space constraints, as well as the busy lifestyles of today’s youngsters!

FAQs
How can I join the club?
Due to a membership cap, we may not be able to accept everyone on our waitlist. If you'd like to join the waitlist for future opportunities, please complete this New Members Application Google Form.
I'm ready to join - what do I need to bring?
To play, you need clean indoor shoes with non-marking soles, as well as a racquet. We do have some loaner racquets to use for your first nights. Also, junior players are required to wear safety glasses, and we have some to borrow for your first few nights.
Do I need to stay the whole night?
Both adult and junior clubs are mostly pickup doubles play. As such, you can come for 10 minutes or the entire night, whatever fits your schedule. However, check the calendar as there are some nights denoted as tournament nights where there is no regular play offered.
Do I need to bring birds?
Both the adult and junior clubs usually play with Yonex Nylon 350 shuttles. You are welcome to bring some, or we do have them available for purchase at cost from the club.
Can I come as a guest to try it out?
Given membership caps, there is limited room for guests. Please email us in advance if you are wishing to try out our club.
